Things that aren’t there

Of National Importance Records have just released a compilation album featuring my track Early Morning Call. The album features local bands and artists and all the money raised will go to The Willow Foundation.

Things That Aren’t There is a compilation of Barnsley-centric sounds available from the 17th of December 2010 via digital download. All 17 tracks can be yours for free or in exchange for a small donation to the Willow Foundation, a very worthwhile charity that organises special days for seriously ill young people.’

Monaco

This is a new track I’ve just finished. It’s inspired by the many great days and nights I’ve spent in France and Monaco.

Chinese Whispers

This track was originally featured on the compilation ‘Ecosystem Vol. 2’. A few months later Michael e reworked the track and his remix is on our latest album ‘Secrets Like These.’ The exclusive license for this original recording has ended, which means I can now upload it and share it with you here. I hope you enjoy it.

Magazine Feature

A few weeks ago I gave an enjoyable interview to Phoebe Seymour from Counterfeit magazine. We talked about my audiovisual work, performing live and remixing tracks. You can read the finished acticle at the Counterfeit website.

Sirocco

This is a brand new chillout track by The Charlie North Michael e Project. It started out as a studio jam that I posted on here a few months ago. It has since been lovingly re-worked (many times) into this tune. There are plans to license it onto a compilation, and I’ll post something about that shortly.

We discussed his latest album, his current tour, and his thoughts on how technology and the music industry have changed during his incredible 25 year career. You can hear the complete interview using this audio player.

Many thanks to Jody Fendick from Penistone FM and everyone at Hide & Seek Music.
