This live mash-up was performed as part of the Charlie North audiovisual set ‘Movie Mash Ups’. It was recorded in the Mixing Pot Dome at Bomfest on 17th July 2010.
I’m delighted to say that I now have a regular slot presenting my radio show on Penistone FM. You can expect the usual chaos and disorganised banter (motivated by a large dose of adrenaline and caffeine) on Tuesdays between 3-5pm.

“On the 9nd of July, 2010 SINE Music will be releasing the album Secrets Like These by The Charlie North Michael e Project. The album will be available at all well known Internet download stores. 8 relaxing and dreamy ambient and chillout tracks with beautiful melodies invite the listener to relax and dream. The Charlie North Michael e Project comprises of two England-based producers, Charlie North and Michael e, who had gotten to know each other on the Internet while working together on the American remix album by the World Wide Groove Corporation. They soon realized that not only were they operating from the same country but also their studios were less than 10 km apart. In 2009 they decided to join forces and work together, the result of which is their new album Secrets Like These.”

‘Fly Me To The Moon’ has always been a personal favourite. Although there are many versions of the song most people still associate it with Frank Sinatra, so for that reason I decided to use his recording. The tricky aspect of this remix was adding my own interpretation to the arrangement without loosing the character of the original. I hope you enjoy it.
My radio interview with Michael e (originally broadcast on Penistone FM) is now available on the ‘Charlie and the Chillout Factory’ podcast.
“This episode is an exclusive interview with one of Britain’s most prolific chillout and downtempo music producers. Michael e gave The Chillout Factory access to his studio where we talked about his career, collaborations, and thoughts on the music industry.”
“As part of the Love Music Hate Racism Northern Carnival on May 1st, local audiovisual artist Charlie North has created an original AV composition by mixing together some of the artists who will be performing at the event. This new and original remix was created by using small unrelated clips, videos and performances. This material was then mixed together to create a brand new audiovisual track.”

Performing my audiovisual set at ‘Burn Down The Disco’ in the Lucorum.
I created Elemental by performing and mixing together small sounds and video clips from Luc Besson’s film The Fifth Element. This track is also the first audiovisual project that takes the listener back to my musical roots of chilled electronica.
