Things that aren’t there

Of National Importance Records have just released a compilation album featuring my track Early Morning Call. The album features local bands and artists and all the money raised will go to The Willow Foundation.

Things That Aren’t There is a compilation of Barnsley-centric sounds available from the 17th of December 2010 via digital download. All 17 tracks can be yours for free or in exchange for a small donation to the Willow Foundation, a very worthwhile charity that organises special days for seriously ill young people.’

Monaco

This is a new track I’ve just finished. It’s inspired by the many great days and nights I’ve spent in France and Monaco.

Sirocco

This is a brand new chillout track by The Charlie North Michael e Project. It started out as a studio jam that I posted on here a few months ago. It has since been lovingly re-worked (many times) into this tune. There are plans to license it onto a compilation, and I’ll post something about that shortly.

Michael e Interview

My radio interview with Michael e (originally broadcast on Penistone FM) is now available on the ‘Charlie and the Chillout Factory’ podcast.

“This episode is an exclusive interview with one of Britain’s most prolific chillout and downtempo music producers. Michael e gave The Chillout Factory access to his studio where we talked about his career, collaborations, and thoughts on the music industry.”

Performing my audiovisual set at ‘Burn Down The Disco’ in the Lucorum.

I created Elemental by performing and mixing together small sounds and video clips from Luc Besson’s film The Fifth Element. This track is also the first audiovisual project that takes the listener back to my musical roots of chilled electronica.
